Gouda / Hamburg - Imtech N.V. (technical services provider in Europe) announces that it has received orders in Germany over the past two months valued at more than 250 million euro for total technological solutions in both the industrial market and the buildings market.

The economic situation in Germany has improved substantially after a number of years of stagnation and a negative economic environment. Imtech, one of the largest players on the German technology market, is increasingly experiencing the positive effects of this. Partly due to growing exports, first the investment climate in industry improved and improvement in the buildings market has been noticeable now for some time as well.

Imtech distinguishes itself in Germany through its combination of innovation and the provision of multidisciplinary technical solutions. This results in a complete and advanced package of technical services, in which the number of steady or returning clients is growing. But new clients too are committing to Imtech. There has been substantial growth thanks to Imtech’s scale size, national coverage (more than 60 locations in Germany), innovative power and ability to offer total technical solutions from a single point of contact. In the last two months alone Imtech has received contracts worth 250 million euro. The focus in industry lies in the automotive industry, energy solutions and the technological equipment for high-grade laboratories for the pharmaceutical industry and others. Another focal point is the health care sector, as well as the technological infrastructure in multifunctional buildings, shopping centres and office buildings.

In the industrial market Imtech has received contracts from automotive manufacturers Audi and BMW for the technical infrastructure in a new production hall and an innovative test centre, respectively. For the wood producers Binder-Holz and Heggenstaller Imtech is providing high-grade energy solutions. At gas producer Linde a high-tech gas cooling system is being built. For optical equipment producer Zeiss Oberkochen a new production unit is being fitted with complex clean room solutions. In the pharmaceutical industry Imtech is providing the technological equipment for advanced laboratories and production plants for, among others, Novartis Pharma, Hexal and Boehringer Ingelheim. For chemicals giant BASF Imtech is providing the technical infrastructure for a new production facility.

In the healthcare sector Imtech is increasingly developing into a steady technology partner for hospitals and healthcare institutions. Important new contracts have been received from the university hospitals in Düsseldorf and Tübingen.

In the buildings market orders have been received for the provision of all technical solutions in new inner city multifunctional buildings (offices, shops, leisure facilities), including the Düsseldorf Arcaden and the Königsstadt Carree in Berlin. But Imtech is also responsible for all of the technology in a new shopping centre in Leipzig and a high-grade, high security office of the Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt.
