Gouda - Imtech N.V. (technical services provider in Europe) has announced that it has acquired the Swedish technical services provider FCC Sprinkler & Service AB. This acquisition contributes directly to the earmimgs per share.

FCC Sprinkler & Service profile
With its 60 employees, FCC Sprinkler & Service achieves an annual revenue of 8 million euro, and is one of the larger technical services providers in Sweden specialising in sprinkler technology. The company, which is located in Vasteras (approximately 150 kilometres from Stockholm), has been operating for more than ten years and has developed into a strong regional player in the sprinkler market. 

Synergy
FCC Sprinkler & Service will become part of the business unit NVS Sprinklers. With 190 employees, this business unit is one of the strongest players in Sweden and Norway in a positively developing sprinkler market. Recently for instance, NVS (Imtech) won the contract for the high-tech sprinkler technology in the Swedbank Arena, the new Swedish multi-functional national stadium for football, other (sporting) events (capacity: 50,000 visitors), and concerts (capacity: 67,000 visitors) in Solna, Stockholm. NVS Sprinklers and FCC Sprinkler & Service are largely complementary from both a geographical and client base point of view. Together they form a strong combination with greater possibilities for innovation and growth.

Further growth in the Nordic region
At the end of 2008 Imtech acquired NVS. With annual revenue of approximately 325 million euro, NVS is one of the largest technical service providers in Sweden, Norway and Finland. This new acquisition fits in with Imtech’s strategy to strengthen its position further in the Nordic region. Last year Imtech already acquired three smaller and medium-sized companies in Sweden and Norway.
