Imtech strengthens position in Norway by acquisition of Olav C. Jensen & Søn

Gouda, the Netherlands - Imtech (technical services provider in Europe) has acquired the Norwegian technical services provider Olav C. Jensen & Søn via NVS, its Nordic division. The competition authorities in Norway have approved this acquisition, which will immediately contribute to earnings per share. The management of Olav C. Jensen & Søn will stay on after the acquisition.

Olav C. Jensen & Søn is a small technical services provider specialised in technical maintenance and management. The company is situated in Ski in Norway, a region with a strategic position between the cities of Oslo and Fredrikstad. This is an economically healthy region and therefore the number of technical maintenance and services contracts is increasing. Olav C. Jensen & Søn has an excellent market position in this segment. With approximately 15 employees the company realises revenues of almost 3 million euro on annual base.

Growth in Nordic
In November 2008 Imtech acquired NVS. With revenues of 350 million euro on annual base, NVS is one of the largest technical services providers in Sweden, Norway and Finland. The acquisition fits in with the strategy for further strengthening the position of Imtech in the Nordic. Olav C. Jensen & Søn will operate a separate business unit within the Norwegian organisation of NVS.
